Getting PrEP Locally In the Asia-Pacific Region, PrEP can be acessed in only a limited number of countries (Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, The Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam). If you are an Australian resident with a current Medicare card you can access PrEP through the PBS at a subsidised cost. This means any doctor or general practitioner can write a script for PrEP which you can take to any pharmacy for dispensing (collection). Keep in mind you may have to pay for your doctors visit if it’s not a bulk billing service. You can find a list of doctors that prescribe PrEP here.
PrEP is not yet available in the public health system in Hong Kong, however, some private doctors are prescribing at high costs (~HKD 8000 to HKD 10000 a month). You can find out more information from PrEP Advocacy groups such as AIDS Concern. There are a limited number of places you can get PrEP in Malaysia. These include:

In New Zealand, the Special Authority requires all initial applications for a person to access funded PrEP to be from, or on the recommendation of, a named HIV specialist. You may find a list of NZ HIV Specialist who are PrEP provider here. In the Philippines, PrEP can currently be accessed through enrolling in Project PrEPPY (PrEP Pilipinas) a project delivering PrEP services for MSM and transgender women at high risk for HIV in Manila. For this project, HIV-negative MSM and transgender women at risk of infection will be offered in LoveYourself's two clinics in Manila. Users can sign their interest at go.loveyourself.ph/prep Yes. Places, where PrEP is available, include the DSC Clinic (the only public STI clinic), the National University Hospital (NUH) at its Be Prepared Clinic and also at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. It can also be found in certain private clinics, such as the DTAP Clinic.

Pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, is available at medical centres in Districts 1, 8, 11 and Thu Duc, as well as several private clinics in the city.
